Citizen App is used by businesses and individuals to receive crime alerts and alerts of national emergencies and emergencies. It works on all smartphones and can alert users to an active shooter situation, mass shooting, building fire, and many other events in your area. Citizen also provides survivors and the families of missing and murdered children with information about where their loved one is and allows users to create and share missing persons posters.

Citizen app takes the lead on creating the “Internet of Citizen Safety”, which will include support for existing and new web-based apps. Citizen said it would contribute to the app ecosystem it has created, such as mobile phones and devices, apps, and services that integrate with Citizen and help enable the Internet of Citizen Safety.

By doing so, Citizen App hopes to reduce the number of 911 calls, reduce crime and improve emergency response. Citizen believes this internet of citizen safety will provide a way for everyday citizens to communicate with and with emergency responders. Citizen app also advises users on safety precautions in situations like an active shooter, shooting, robbery, sexual assault, or kidnapping.

The app uses the New York City Police Department, or NYPD’s, CompStat statistics to monitor the city’s crime statistics and alert its users to recent increases in crime in the area.
