2 Factors to Consider when Choosing a Lacrosse Camp

Tucked away in the hills of Vail, the Jon Urbana-led Next Level Lacrosse Camp has been creating a place for your child to learn the essential elements of the game of lacrosse. And when it comes to choosing a lacrosse camp, it is important that you have the right information to help make an educational decision.

Being the founder of Next Level Lacrosse, Jon Urbana not only helps kids but parents understand what a great Lacrosse camp should offer. In 2003, Urbana started in all 12 games that he played for the Villanova lacrosse team and boasts at jonurbana.com that he was the second team conference pick.

With his 2004 honorable mention and All-American Honors, Urbana has been considered one of the most well respected Colonial Athletic Association’s Defensive Player of the year. With his prestigious FAA recognition and writeup in the Aviation Business Gazette, Jon has been considered a pilot, photographer, and startup founder like no other.

So what makes Next Level Lacrosse one of the great camps? If you do a Twitter search for tweets from @jonurbana1, you’ll learn that it offers a place for kids to learn the skills needed to master the game of lacrosse. A look at his Facebook profile will show you the same thing.

If you are looking for a lacrosse camp for your child and have no idea how to choose the right one, make sure that you implement these important aspects in your search so that you and your child have the best experience.

Decide Between Skill Development Camps

When it comes time to look for the right camp, it is imperative that you know your options. There are many Lacrosse camps that offer day camps nearby, as well as overnight camps. Overnight camps allow your child to develop skills over a longer period of time, and your child is taught with more instructional time from high level staffs. It’s important that you find coaches and founders like Jon Urbana who have great reputations as aspiring bloggers for being great teachers of the game.

Consider Recruiting Camps

Many camps offer recruiting options for kids, which will give your child a place to shine and potentially an opportunity to take it to the next level. If you are considering a recruiting camp, you will want to find out about the type of coaches that will be attending the camp. Find out who is running the camp, as well as their showcasing methods.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a Lacrosse Camp. And it is important that you take those factors into consideration before making a final decision. Next Level Lacrosse understands the importance of choosing a camp that will not only work to develop the skills of your child, but work to build their confidence as well. Always choose a camp that will benefit the growth of your child and his future Lacrosse endeavors.

Watts’ Positive Approach against a Hopeless Skiing Industry

I recently tuned in to listen to KCRW’s Press Play program and I was impressed to find Mikal Watts being interviewed in the show. Mikal is the CEO and the president of the Squaw Valley resort which has been on the limelight for its strategies in dealing with the current draught that has hit California. He became the resort’s CEO and president five years ago and ever since his entry the resort has recorded tremendous growth. Watts is a respectable entrepreneur and his skills and popularity has spread all over the hospitality industry. He is one of the greatest managers in the industry and he has won awards to show for it.

I listened to the interview and I could help but marvel at Watts’s positive responses that left me wondering. While every other player in the skiing business is cursing Mother Nature for the catastrophic drought that has reduced the levels of snowfall, Watts sees this as an opportunity. Off course to be entrepreneur of Watts’s stature you need to have a different angle of looking at things even when the wind is blowing on a different direction. Resorts around the area are worried about the reduced snowfalls and they are anticipating losses.

Facebook users say not so for Squaw Valley resort where Watts has put up a strategic plan to maintain his profits on a stable level. He even said during the interview that the drought has actually brought the company good luck and a great opportunity. Although he admits that the current situation has affected the company’s capacity to offer skiing services, the effect can be compensated for through the manmade snow option. He is quite a genius when it comes to investments and management and this is what has helped him propel the Squaw Valley resort to the heights it is at today.

The entire interview was filled with great inspiration and positive utterances that downplayed the looming implications of the current drought that threatens to cripple the skiing industry. Watts has remained focused on options to mitigate the problem rather than worrying about. He accepts that the drought is an unfortunate natural disaster that has affected the skiing business but he also maintains that all is not lost. He remained calm throughout the interview and anyone listening in must have left filled with hope and a positive attitude towards their life’s issues. This is what Watts is made of, the ability to see things differently.
